The challenge
In creating the Bargain Center Salem website, we had to meet several key requirements:
The store has many product categories and subcategories, which had to be properly organized and presented on the site in a way that visitors could understand.
Allowing local professionals to add information about the services they provide. This makes it easier for customers who are sourcing materials to find the right professional for their project.
It was necessary to implement a mechanism that allows customers to add selected products to a customized list and conveniently send inquiries about their availability and price.
Custom orders for panels and windows via dedicated forms, which also had to be included in the site architecture.
The process
Our main goal was to develop a site that would simply and clearly present the full range of products offered and create a space for local contractors:
- Graphic design focused on clear navigation - we made sure that the main categories were already visible on the homepage. We assigned short descriptions and visuals to each of them to quickly grab visitors' attention.
- Contractor Directory - we have created a dedicated tab where professionals can submit their services and clients can access a database of contacts of proven specialists in various fields. We used a simple form to make the process of adding a service profile intuitive and quick.
- Custom Order pages - we have developed dedicated sub-pages for placing orders for panels and windows. This allows customers to fill out a form with information about their preferred dimensions, style or materials, and then quickly receive a quote that meets their individual needs.
- Implementation of the “Your List” form - we created a module to add specific products (e.g., windows, cabinets) to the list, and then send inquiries about availability, price or additional parameters, which improved communication and the quoting process.

We have given the website a clear and transparent structure. Initially, the site was divided into sections that lacked clear purpose or value for the user. To address this, we reorganized the content and divided the structure into several distinct sections:
- Intuitive product categories through which customers easily reach the appropriate departments (e.g., butcher blocks, insulation, liquidation), which reduces search time and encourages a personal visit to the store.
- Thanks to the implementation of SEO solutions and content optimization, the website began to rank higher in search engine results, which directly contributed to an increase in the number of visits and inquiries. Thus, the company saw greater interest in its offerings among both new and existing customers.
- Extensive forms , which allow you to add selected products to the list, send requests for availability and place custom orders for panels and windows, which significantly speeds up the quoting process and makes it easier to handle even the most detailed requirements.
We have included comprehensive specifications, product images and pricing information on our product detail pages. These important details were completely absent in the previous version, making it difficult for users to make a decision.
